These unique and fascinating cards came to my collection via an ad placed in an antique magazine many years ago. I purchased this and another primitive deck through the mail. It seems to be early European. I have yet to find a duplicate in the many reference sources I've checked. Perhaps someone might MAIL me some more information.

Okay, so I have a lot of favorites. Remember that old song from Broadway, "If I'm not near the girl I love, I love the girl I'm near." Well, it's kinda like that. Every time I see these wonderful courts, I appreciate them more and more. Here are three of this Hunting pack's intricate Aces. the deck was made in Switzerland about 1850. The complex hunting scenes and duplex aces are truly wonderful. They're extra big here to appreciate the detail. I've also included a typical court card which also uses the hunting motif.
